Randy, that's a lot of pet friendly Bldg.s the last several postings! Do you think as a whole the amount of homes with pets are about the same as the mainland or do you think folks in Hawaii tend to have more pets? Just curious as you have a limited amount of space on the islands.

I do not think we have more pets.  When renting it is almost impossible to find a landlord who will accept pets even if the building allows it.  I have found that many of my relocation clients bring pets with them making it almost a requirement that they buy instead of rent.

Randy, OK I looked at both Posts, and I can understand them listing dogs and cats, and even birds, but RABBITS........LOL.  You have got to be kidding, they actually list RABBITS.......LOL

Randy in my area it is hard to find a pet friendly place even in a senior complex.  I wonder what it would be like if all the dogs started barking?

George - There are actually buildings that OK rabbits.

Jennifer - We have laws to handle nuisance dogs.  If the dog barks too much they get a warning or a citation.

Ray - I thought it was funny too.  Believe it or not one of my friends had a rabbit.

Randy-How many are pet un-friendly in Kailua?
Posted by 1SG (Ret) David Kucic, President and Owner (Hawaii Military Realty, Inc.) about 5 years ago
David - There is one that did not respond to the survey.  A couple allow dogs and cats, but have restrictions.  They are listed above.

I have a very sweet mild-mannered rottweiler. Unfortunately, the breed has a bad rep because of nasty humans. Are there many rental properties on Oahu who would be willing to take us in as tenants?
Posted by delilah over 4 years ago
deliah - Not many landords will allow them, even if the building have no restrictions.
