Hawaii Randy's Real Estate Opinions: Hawaii is a Great Place

Hawaii is a Great Place

Here are a few facts about Hawaii that possibly only a few trivia buffs may know:

  • Hawaii is known as the Aloha State, because of the friendly people.
  • Hawaii is the only state that has a palace and was a former kingdom with a royal family.  The Iolani Palace is now a museum. (Pictured)
  • Hawaii is the only state that grows coffee
  • Hawaii is the most isolated location on earth that has a population center.  2390 miles from California and 3850 miles from Japan.
  • Hawaii is the first state to have an Asian American US Senator.
  • The only state to have a Japanese, a Filipino, a Hawaiian and a Jewish women elected governor.
  • Hawaii has the most moderate climate of any state
  • Hawaii has some of the best beaches on the planet
  • The state motto is:  Ua Mau Ke Ea O Ka Aina I Ka Pono (The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness)
  • Hawaii is the last state to join the union in 1959.

We are also starting a cocoa crop and several types of nuts including macadamia, which we are known for.

Our coffee is considered the finest in the world.  Kona Coffee is highly prized.  Kauai Coffee is not as well known, but considered just at good.

I'm a Kona coffee sort of guy.

Now I know where it comes from.

Good job Randy!

Hey Rady,

I sent you an email ,but it keeps coming back undeliverable, what? you'll accept emailsfrom our friends in Nigeria but not me? I am insulted LOL! only kidding, here is the email I tried to send you.

So I will have to post it to you so you can go MEME yourself!

Hey Randy,

I was tagged tonight by Meme Madness... I've copied and am pasting the email below with what it is about, I'm tagging you for the next Meme :)

"I have the honors of choosing a couple of people to be MEMED. It's a tradition that's been going around for a few months here on AR. If you aren't sure of what this is about, just run a search in blogs using the word Meme and you'll find several posts.

It's an opportunity for you to share 5 things about yourself that most of us would not suspect or know. Have fun with it and give us some gossip. Than choose someone else on the network to do the same thing."
