WooHoo for Donna!:  After sitting down and talking with her last week it prompted me to write about the laws regarding burial site/ceremonial sites.  She will be an asset to the company and I sure got interested! She is so young and has a head full of knowledge!

Randy - Donna will surely be an asset! I love archeology. That is until I found out you had to sit under the sun and dig for hours! I think I'll just read about it! Donna will no doubt help you leverage your time!

Now, all of this will work unless you get her addicted to Active Rain!

Posted by Linda Scanlan (A Fan of AR) about 11 years ago

Linda - It was the folks on Active Rain that helped me decide to start the team. :)

Randy, congratulations to you and Donna! I'd love to sit and talk with her about her pre RE life, I bet that was facinating!

She is still an archaeologist.  She will be part time with me in the beginning.

Congratulations on the new assisstant! This means you are really growing a profitable business. I read in MREA that this is the first important hire as you start building a successful team.

Stephen - I am quite excited about her joining to help build the team.

Jeff - We will be sure to comply with all area ordinances.  I bet I will have one of thefew teams with an on staff archeology expert.

Randy,

Congratulations. Sounds like Donna will be a fit for your team. An archeologist who specializes in Hawaii? We have folks like that in New Jersey but they wear hats that read "FBI" and "State Police" and no one wants to know what they dig for!

Posted by Blogger To Be Named Later about 11 years ago
Andrew - We have a lot of burial sites on the island that pop up unannounced during construction.  There is a bi9g demand for her kind of work.  Hopefully an even bigger demand for selling homes.

Congratulations on hiring your assistant.  Be sure to set clear expectations, moniter progress, and reward her for doing thing s right.  As and educated person, you'll want to listen to her insights as she gains experience.

Good luck to you and your new team!

That would make for an interested advertising bit, Randy.  A competitive edge with the locals?
Posted by Jeff R. Geoghan, REALTOR, Marketing Manager (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) about 11 years ago

Jay - I will be learning as I go.  She is definitely an educated person and I expect her to help me take the business to the next level.

Jeff - I am not sure how to make use of that.  I will have to think that out.
