July 2010 - Oahu Residential Real Estate Sales Activity

Below are sales activity for the month of July 2010 compared to the previous month and the same month last year. This covers resale home for Honolulu County (Oahu).  The effects of the homebuyer tax credits have worn off.   Single Family homes median prices and sales volume have shown a slight increase over last year, while condos and townhouses have shown a slight decline in both price and volume.

Hi Randy, That was a very nice presentation and it would be just a guess but I would bet that most of the US would be very happy with the only moderate amount of change and greater consistency in volume and price in your market. I lked the simple and clean way you did this. It is easy to read and easy to understand.

This is so good to see compared to California. I have my Hawaii broker license. Looks like I need to start using it.

William - Our MLS system generates a lot of data each month, which makes it easy to put together reports for our clients.

Lori - We have an advantage here.  Supply and demand help stabilize our values.  We only have so much land to build on.

Barbara - I also like ready reports for other areas.  I helps us get a feel for trends in the market.
