l looked up at the meter this morning a realized that I would be passing the half million point mark on Active Rain with this post.
I haven't checked yet. What do you win with 500,000 points? Do you get a gold watch or a trip to Las Vegas? I would even settle for shooting lessons from TLW or a hula class with Blogging Bertha.
When I joined Active Rain there were not many regular writers. I believe I could name almost all of them. Now there are many thousands and growing. Not bad for an idea drawn up on a napkin.
The Active Rain members have been a huge influence on me and my business. The sharing of knowledge here is like no other place I know of. Active Rain is incredible. You can connect with many more industry professionals than you could in almost any other forum. You also have the public participating in the process.
Several of my clients were able to do a silent interview of me. They came to my blog and read my posts. They were able to get a good idea of what type of agent and person I am. Agents from other states and counties are able to do the same when looking for someone to refer their clients to. In this regards Active Rain has been a wonderful added dimension to my business.
I guess what I am building up to is: THANK YOU ACTIVE RAIN!!!
Good luck to all and happy blogging.

Randy, congrats to your acchievement. I am sorry I never ran into your post until now....I have noticed that many good bloggers went into hybernation and many new faces appear. What I am dissapointed is the ones that write two or three sentences whatever the minimum is to get credit for a post...no interaction with fellow rainers..not answering comments or reciprication on the commentor's post... Too bad ....Anyway congrats on your achievement I just wanted to share this with you since I see the most post you ever did in a month has been around 40+ vs some of the nebies doing 100+
Randy, imagine what would happen if there were no 'proxy errors'? You'll probably would have reached the 1 million mark already! :) Congrats on arriving at this great milestone! It is a great achievement indeed. This forum has grown leaps and bounds in a fairly short period of time.
Endre - I have not been on as much the last few months as in the past. Just so many coals in the fire these days.
The two liners are silly. Is that what they want their clients to read?
David - It has become a great forum. I really look forward to them correcting the server issues.
Good Job and congrats on the points --- I am just adding them up each day also and in doing so --- learning and meeting new friends --- I love Activerain!
Randy - Congratulations on achieving 500,000 points. It's nice to meet you especially since you haven't been very active since I've joined. You should become more active again.
Randy - congratulations on the milestone. THat's a lotta points. Looks like business has been good and keeping you away from AR. Of course the Proxy Errors will do that as well. LOL.
Jeff
Randy that is a lot of information and dedication to educating the public. Keep it coming.
Ginerva - I never thought I would see the first 100,000. It comes faster than you expect.
Norma - I agree, the points are not important, the information and friends are.
Marc - You will be seeing more of me in the future.
Jeff - The proxy errors have definitely slowed me down from spending as muc time here.
Marie - I am hoping to increase my activity again.
What do you win with 500,000 points? If you don't already own one, you win a copy of Real Estate the Rome Way. Just send me your snail mail address and how you would like it autographed.
Congratulations!!
Margaret
Hi Randy, congrats on a huge milestone. I am right behind you and I never in my wildest dreams think I would get to this point!
Congrats on 500K Randy. I'll push for you getting a trip to Vegas if I can get one to Hawaii!
Margaret - I have and read it one your book first came out. Great book!
William - It is a lot of writing.
John - As long as my trip to Vegas includes a return ticket home to Hawaii. :)
You're right, this is a great place to share and learn and meet other agents. Congrats on the points milestone, and don't look back because Sally is right behind you..... OH, I just checked, and I guess she overtook already!
Congrats Randy on your accomplishment! I liked the 'silent interview' mention, I'm sure that what sellers & buyers are doing. And that's totally OK with me! I do phone interviews too!
Lyn - I like the idea that potential clients can look me and decide if we are a good fit. We tend have much better working relationships.
I believe you get shoes - at least that's what Kristal Kraft says. Thanks for commenting on my post!
Suzanne and Tony - Happy to see you guys back. I hope business is good for you.
