You May Need a New Home Inspector if….

                                                                                                     Home Inspector

I decided to lighten it up a little.  Here is a short list of things to watch out for when working with a home inspector.

If your home inspector has any or all of these attributes you may need a new inspector:

  • Uses a disposable camera.
  • Always has a tooth pick hanging out of their mouth and calls everyone sport.
  • Keeps hitting on your spouse.
  • Takes the bus to the inspection site.
  • Is also a loan officer, real estate agent and works at a fast food restaurant.
  • Does not have insurance or see the need for it.
  • Has fuzzy dice hanging from their mirror.
  • Tests the plumbing by using the toilet and says, yup it flushed.
  • Carries all their tools in a Swiss Army Knife.
  • Business cards that are hand written.
  • Lives in their truck.
  • Accepts food stamps for payment.
  • Plugs in a lamp to test the electrical wiring.
  • Can be reached by leaving a message at the corner gas station.
  • Tests the washer and dryer with the clothes they are wearing.

I am sure you can think of several others.  Have fun with this list.

Being that loan officers have had a hard time lately, I decided to save them for last in this series.  Stay tuned for that list.
